Reminds me of trips I’ve had to http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/inverness/culloden/ which seems to be set up in a similar fashion, ie; structured visitor centre and walk. I wish we had more of that sort of thing in the U.K

No problem Rhys, thanks for commenting. I will post more photos as I get out more. It starting to happen again now in small pieces.
I lived in Aberdeen for three years when I was first married, I wish I had been more into my history and less into beer/bitter at the time. Scratch that, I wish I had been into history as much as beer/bitter at the time. Oh, and golf as well.
I worked weekends and nights and my wife was a student at Robert Gordon during the day. Consequently we never traveled around very much as we had no car or money and sightseeing on public transport is not easy. Every trip back now is taken up with family visits and no time for me to visit new places.
